Fans of the popular movie Chef, starring Jon Favreau and Sofia Vergara are no strangers to the popular style of ‘food trucks’, a large vehicle equipped to cook and sell food. Here are some of the well-known delicious food truck businesses in Goa doing their best to serve the locals and tourists with multi-cuisine street food. Mmm, meat!

Antojitos A truck that makes you drool! This food truck ( a Tata 407) offers homemade, local and fresh Mexican street food or ‘food for the soul’ (as mentioned on their Facebook page) such as burgers, hot dogs, nachos, fish and chips etc. at cost-effective prices. Started by Elvis Victor and Steve Dias in May 2016, this bright blue and red tex-mex truck at Taleigao, Panjim is open from 6:00p.m to 10:30 p.m. seven days a week! Antojitos (which means ‘little cravings’ in Spanish) is also solar-powered and eco-friendly! They have specials on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Check out the Heisen Burger, the beef quesadilla and the rare Chimichurri steak with Jamaican rice and beans!

Noronha’s Corner Owned by brothers Charles, Lazarus and Joseph who have previously worked in beach shacks and bars, this food truck is situated at the Anjuna Circle (at the junction of the Anjuna-Mapusa and Calangute- Siolim roads), offers Goan Catholic snacks – three kinds of beef cutlets, chilly fry and roasts and sausage burgers. They are open well into the night and have reasonable rates of just Rs.200 for two.

Goan Food Truck This one is for the South Goans. This typical cutlet + bread joint is owned by Sandrick D’Costa and offers pork chops, beef steak, sorpotel, sausage bread (chorizo pao) and chicken xacuti at Cansaulim Circle near HDFC Bank ATM. This is a recent addition to the Goan food scene. It is quite popular among the locals and tourists and is open every day!
